Karthi, Tamil actor’s first straight Telugu movie is here
and let us see how the movie is.
Story:
Kamal Krishna (Karthi) is from Samarlakota who comes to
Hyderabad. Kamal wanted to meet couple of politicians to get rid of the
demolishment by Government who are back of his ancestral house back in his
village. But he experiences the political games of the corrupted politicians.
Even the chief minister Bhupathi (Prakash Raj) plays some crooked games. Fed up
with all these, Kamal wanted to attain power in order to get rid of these. Auto
Driver Appalraju (Santhanam) helps him in every phase. The rest of the story is
how and whether he attains the power.
Performances
Karthi’s performance was very good he carries the entire
film on his shoulders.
Pranitha, the heroin did justice to her role. She was given
a simple character involving songs and glamour role when possible. Prakash Raj
did the role as usual. No complains and no hiccups. Justified the Chief
Minister role. Santhanam justified his role with the one liner comedy and
punches. Rest Radhika, Kota, Roja, Nasser were natural. Anushka’s special entry
was unexpected but good. Kiran Rathod sexy looks made eyes open. Anushka’s
special role was a delight.
Technical Department
The main drawback was weak screen play. It would have been
much better. The story has no depth as well. On top of it, music and songs were
not good. They pulled the movie down.
Summary
Karthi’s performance was very good including sexy Pranitha.
The story line was ok but weak screen play. It was more of a political movie.
Should have been in the hands of a good director. Over all the movie was not as
expected.
Overall Rating 3/5
